PTSD

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Awhile back I was walking through an airport Somewhere in America, when some dude dropped a cell phone. I spun around, dropped to one knee, and made to draw down on the situation with a sidearm that I hadn't carried in a lot of years.

And the dude with the cell phone laughed.

Maybe it was a joke to him, maybe I looked funny with my eyes bugged out, reaching for an imaginary .45, but PTSD is not a laughing matter. It affects soldiers, cops, firefighters, rape victims, accident victims, kids who were molested...a whole lotta people out there are walking around with one foot stuck in a past that can spin them right back into a waking nightmare.

This page is going to have links and resources for people who have PTSD, and their families. I'm not a doctor or a pshrink or a priest, so I'm not going to offer advice. I will offer my heartfelt prayers.
